Data & Security

Your fleet's data stays your fleet's.

Vinsag only works with data from your own fleet, only for your own cost analysis. Here is exactly what is used, how cost is derived from it, and how it is protected.

What is used

Only the data needed to calculate cost per trip.

Trip and location data

Ignition state, speed, GPS position and odometer from your trackers or telematics platform.

Fuel data

Fuel level readings from sensors and fill records from fuel card statements.

Vehicle records

Registration, vehicle class, depot assignment and workshop history.

Driver assignment

Which driver was assigned to which trip, identified by the ID you choose.

Cost attribution

How a rupee gets assigned to a cause.

Attribution is a calculation you can inspect, not a black box. Each step is shown on the trip it applies to.

  1. Trip cost

Fuel used on the trip multiplied by the price actually paid per liter.

  2. Lane benchmark

The median cost per km for similar trips on the same lane and vehicle class.

  3. Excess cost

The difference between the trip's cost and its benchmark, multiplied by distance.

  4. Cause split

Excess cost divided between idle fuel burned, extra distance driven and driving-event impact.

Data ownership

Your fleet and trip data belongs to you. It can be exported at any time in CSV, XLSX or PDF, including when you leave.

Encryption

All connections use TLS. Stored data is encrypted at rest, and integration credentials are kept separately from application data.

Access control

Users only see the depots and functions assigned to them. Admins control who can view, export or change settings.

No sharing, no marketplace

Vinsag does not share, sell or pool your data with shippers, other fleets or advertisers. There is no exchange behind the product.

Audit trail

Logins, exports and permission changes are recorded so admins can review who accessed what.

Deletion on request

When an account closes, data is deleted after the export window, except records the law requires us to keep.

Driver insights are for coaching. Driver-level cost trends exist to support fair, specific conversations. Access to individual driver data is role-restricted, the default view is aggregate, and drivers can be identified by an internal ID rather than a name.

EXIT 01 Fuel audit

Your fleet's cheapest trip already happened. Make it the standard.

A fuel audit maps cost per km across your recent trips and shows which causes are worth fixing first.
