Fuel Consumption Monitoring
Liters, km/l and ₹/km for every trip. Not just every month.
Vinsag turns fuel sensor readings, fuel card transactions and trip sheets into a per-trip cost ledger, so every vehicle and every lane has a cost per kilometer you can compare.
| Trip | Vehicle | Lane | Km | Liters | Km/L | ₹/km | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| #4031 | TR-07 | Kochi to Coimbatore | 186 | 12.6 | 14.76 | 6.38 | Efficient |

Down to each individual journey
Same route, same vehicle class
The rate you paid at the pump
Tabular, comparable, exportable
Under the hood
How consumption is tracked
Trips are stitched from raw data
GPS ignition and movement events define where each trip starts and ends. Loading and unloading stops stay inside the trip they belong to.
Fuel is attributed to the trip
Fuel sensor level changes, or fuel card fills matched to odometer readings, are allocated to the trips they were burned on.
Cost per km is calculated
Liters are priced at the fill rate you actually paid, then divided by distance. The result is ₹/km per trip, per vehicle and per lane.
Each trip is compared to its lane
A trip is benchmarked against the median of similar trips on the same lane and vehicle class, so a hilly route is never compared to a flat one.
Signals used
GPS / telematics
Ignition, speed, position and odometer
Fuel level sensor
Tank level changes during and between trips
Fuel card data
Fill volume, price, station and time
Trip sheets
Lane, load and driver assignment
Fill mismatches are flagged, not judged. When fuel added does not match distance driven, Vinsag flags the gap for review. It can be sensor drift, a missed trip or something else - the tool shows the numbers, you decide.
Outcomes
What you can answer on day one
- Which vehicle costs the most per km on the same lane
- Which trips last week ran above the lane benchmark
- How consumption changes loaded versus empty return legs
- Where fuel fills do not match the distance driven

EXIT 01 Fuel audit
Your fleet's cheapest trip already happened. Make it the standard.
A fuel audit maps cost per km across your recent trips and shows which causes are worth fixing first.
